Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Drive sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to dock doors.
- Inventory Accuracy: Perform accurate cycle counts and maintain precise records of stock levels and movements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Material Handling: Properly palletize, shrink-wrap, and stage products for shipping or storage.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse floor organized, free of debris, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must hold a current, state-issued forklift operator license (OSHA certified preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a distribution center or warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions regarding inventory and safety.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and committed to a full-time schedule.
- Communication: Basic English communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members effectively.
