Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse facility.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other heavy machinery before and after shifts.
- Stack and organize pallets and inventory in designated storage areas to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding hazardous materials and workplace conduct.
- Accurately document inventory movements and maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems.
- Clean work areas and ensure the facility remains organized and free of debris at all times.
- Collaborate with team leads and warehouse staff to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating forklifts in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Basic computer literacy and experience using handheld scanners or inventory software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work rotating shifts or overtime as needed.
