Responsibilities
- Safe Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks) in compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products to and from designated storage areas, staging locations, and delivery vehicles.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts and ensure accurate documentation of stock movements using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders efficiently to meet tight shipping deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe by performing routine inspections of equipment and reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics team to streamline workflows and resolve any operational bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift. Must be able to work in various weather conditions if working in a dock door area.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and order picking to minimize errors.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (Class C) required.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and adherence to safety protocols.
