Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials efficiently throughout the facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated areas to maximize storage space and ensure easy retrieval.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition, using scanning equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all 5S safety protocols and housekeeping rules.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as required by management.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation and order picking.
