Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized materials safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs to prevent operational delays
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Adhere to all safety protocols including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflows
- Assist in inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy
- Train new team members on equipment operation and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/material handling environments
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Strong attention to detail with ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
