Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move products within the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock organization, inventory counting, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets and optimize warehouse flow.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of materials moved and completed tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (CFA/CFP) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- License: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate a busy warehouse floor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality control.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts as needed.
