Your Role
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within our facility. You will ensure that all inventory is handled with precision and care, adhering to strict safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (Reach Truck, Counterbalance, Pallet Jack) in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Perform daily inventory checks and cycle counts with high accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including packaging and labeling.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Must be present upon hiring).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and scanning.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
