Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and stocking inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and organization.
- Pallet Stacking & Organization: Stack pallets securely according to weight limits and safety guidelines to maximize warehouse space.
- Load & Unload Trucks: Efficiently load and unload delivery trucks using proper handling techniques to prevent damage to goods.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure all items meet quality standards before being stored or shipped.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Reporting: Communicate any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Availability: Must be available to work part-time hours, including weekends or nights if required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not always required for internal training.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team of warehouse staff.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to count, add, and subtract to manage inventory counts.
