Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper organization of stock in the warehouse.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding material handling and order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily productivity targets and shipping deadlines.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety instructions precisely.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and stock management.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
