Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance on forklifts daily, reporting equipment issues immediately
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation using warehouse management systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times
- Collaborate with weekend team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down forklifts in warehouse settings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for weekend shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
