Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered equipment to move materials within warehouse and yard
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Accurately document inventory movements using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets
- Uphold strict safety protocols and report equipment issues or hazards immediately
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks and organizing storage areas efficiently
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year experience operating sit-down forklifts in warehouse/distribution settings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Flexible schedule availability including potential weekends
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
