Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and stock organization to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient warehouse flow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Material Handling: Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods to designated storage areas.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage during transport and report any issues immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, including regular sweep of the warehouse floor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating heavy machinery or forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory management.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Basic English communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
