Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks) to move, stack, count, and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards and warehouse safety regulations.
- Scan and verify inventory using handheld scanners or WMS systems (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator with valid certification (e.g., OSHA, Pro-Lift, or equivalent).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of basic warehouse safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
