As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that inventory is handled efficiently, safely, and accurately. If you have a forklift license and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and record inventory using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload shipments from semi-trucks and delivery vans, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to coordinate workflow and meet daily targets.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record (if operating a sit-down forklift with a CDL, though many positions do not require a CDL).
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if necessary.
