Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment (Class 1, 3, or 4) to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Conduct daily pre-shift safety inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Verify and document the quantity, weight, and condition of goods received and shipped using scanning systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily productivity targets.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA) required; training provided for qualified candidates.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer literacy (for inventory systems).
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not always required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
