Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload merchandise onto and from trailers, racks, or shelves using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tagging and stocking materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, conduct daily equipment inspections, and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Licensed Operator: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain safety standards.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
