Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Control: Accurately count, tag, and organize stock to maintain inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including daily logs and shipping manifests.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the warehouse team to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class 1, 3, or 4) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- License: Valid Driver’s License.
- Communication: Basic English skills for reading safety labels and communicating with supervisors.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
