Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (sit-down and stand-up models) to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, reporting maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company procedures
- Manage inventory counts and documentation with accuracy
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize workflow and productivity
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and comply with 5S standards
- Assist in training new operators on equipment and safety practices
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience in warehouse settings
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and material handling best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory and documentation tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for early morning shifts
- Preferred experience with inventory management systems (WMS)
