Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move products.
- Load & Unload: Load and unload freight from trailers and trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure strapping.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of machinery and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and organize stock to ensure optimal warehouse flow.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards in accordance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Class A, B, or C Forklift Operator License (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety protocols and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance record and willingness to work flexible shifts.
- Skills: Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanning devices are a plus.
