Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload: Handle the movement of goods, ensuring they are loaded and unloaded from trucks and pallets correctly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, stock organization, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Material Handling: Move products to designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Forklift License) is required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling inventory.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
