Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
- Perform routine safety inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to 5S standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid, unexpired Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend safety labels and documents.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software.
