Responsibilities
- Unload, inspect, and store refrigerated/frozen products (-20°F to 40°F) using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain strict inventory control and rotation systems (FIFO) to prevent spoilage
- Operate temperature monitoring systems and report deviations immediately
- Sanitize work areas and equipment according to HACCP standards
- Coordinate with warehouse team for efficient loading/unloading of trucks
- Complete accurate documentation for product movement and quality checks
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols in all cold storage activities
- Participate in monthly safety audits and process improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA Forklift Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in extreme cold (-20°F) for extended periods
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail with quality control standards
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
