Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight trucks safely and efficiently using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- Monitor and maintain strict temperature logs for all perishable inventory to ensure product quality.
- Organize and stock inventory within the cold storage facility to ensure optimal workflow and accessibility.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately.
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily production targets and strict deadlines.
- Operate inventory management systems to track stock levels accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a strong plus.
- Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 40°F.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and reliability.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
