Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to efficiently move frozen and refrigerated products (-20°F to 45°F)
- Maintain precise inventory control using WMS systems with 99.9% accuracy
- Adhere to strict food safety protocols including HACCP and FDA regulations
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units and monitoring systems
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless warehouse operations
- Document temperature logs and quality control metrics
- Train new hires on safety procedures and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in sub-zero environments
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
