Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain precise temperature-controlled environments (-10°F to 40°F) for perishable inventory
- Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold-storage-specific equipment with OSHA-certified precision
- Execute inventory management protocols including cycle counts and FIFO rotation systems
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and safety compliance checks
- Coordinate with quality control teams for product integrity verification
- Document storage conditions and inventory movements using digital tracking systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-zero environments for extended periods
- Proficient with warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety protocols
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Valid North Carolina driver's license required
