Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature monitoring (-10°F to 40°F) and documentation in refrigerated/freezer environments
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and automated conveyance systems with OSHA-certified proficiency
- Execute inventory management protocols using RF scanners and WMS software systems
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA safety standards for food-grade storage facilities
- Coordinate cross-functional team movements for efficient loading/unloading of temperature-controlled trailers
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration units
- Implement FIFO rotation methods and quality control checks for perishable inventory
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse environments
- OSHA Forklift Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., Manhattan, Oracle WMS)
- Strong attention to detail with inventory accuracy rates of 99.5%+
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for 8+ hour shifts
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and clean driving record
- Preferred: Hazmat certification or food handling credentials
