Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in -20°F to 45°F storage zones
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration systems with precision
- Conduct daily inventory audits using WMS software and barcode scanners
- Enforce HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for perishable goods handling
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks
- Perform preventive maintenance on cooling equipment and report malfunctions
- Document temperature logs and compliance reports for FDA audits
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or warehouse experience in temperature-controlled environments
- Certified Forklift Operator (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in 32°F-45°F environments for extended periods
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
