Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature controls in refrigerated/freezer environments (-20°F to 45°F)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment with OSHA compliance
- Monitor inventory systems and perform cycle counts with 99.9% accuracy
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA safety protocols for food-grade storage
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain detailed logs for temperature, inventory, and safety compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled environment
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to pass company training)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in sub-zero conditions
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
