Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move refrigerated goods in -10°F to 40°F environments
- Conduct quality checks and inventory tracking using RF scanners
- Maintain precise temperature monitoring and documentation of cold storage zones
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety standards for food handling equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and loading dock equipment
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient truck loading/unloading schedules
- Prepare and organize palletized products for storage and distribution
- Participate in monthly safety audits and training sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in refrigerated warehouse or cold storage environment
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in sub-zero temperatures
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP principles preferred)
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (RF scanner experience)
- Reliable transportation with clean driving record (DOT physical required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours in temperature-controlled conditions
