As a Forklift Operator at Apex, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that inventory is managed with precision and care. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, reliable, and ready to advance their career in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate electric and diesel forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse facility safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in proper working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning pallets and verifying stock levels against warehouse management systems.
- Ensure the warehouse floor remains clean, organized, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Handle hazardous materials and fragile cargo with the utmost care and appropriate protective gear.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and emergency drills.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a professional warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and material handling best practices.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with handheld scanners.
