Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move, load, and unload high-value materials using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain accurate inventory records via WMS systems with zero-tolerance for errors
- Operate heavy machinery (reach trucks, order pickers) in compliance with OSHA standards
- Optimize warehouse layout for maximum throughput and space utilization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily production targets
- Implement lean principles to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of high-value material handling experience
- OSHA certification and forklift operator license required
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management experience
- Valid Michigan driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
