Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments onto and off of trucks, trailers, and pallets using appropriate equipment.
- Machinery Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move heavy materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate counting and verification of inventory to ensure stock levels match system records.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure proper packaging standards are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse layout to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Equipment Certification: Valid forklift certification (if applicable) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and attendance.
