Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload shipments onto and off of trucks and pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor techniques.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly pack items, ensuring they are securely fastened and clearly labeled for accurate tracking and delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Accuracy: Assist in inventory control by verifying stock levels and reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on loading equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and lift heavy items (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling merchandise and documentation.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to count and perform basic arithmetic for inventory checks.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a history of consistent attendance.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail stocking is preferred but not always required.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as business needs dictate.
