Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring all procedures are followed efficiently.
- Staff Management: Schedule, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory discrepancies, and implement cycle counting procedures to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement strategies to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
- Performance Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates and labor productivity to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software is a plus.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator certification and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions.
