Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks to move materials safely throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage to goods.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately to maintenance.
- Organize warehouse aisles and maintain a clean, clutter-free environment to ensure safety compliance.
- Accurately count and verify inventory using scanners or manual counts.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory management.
