Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse efficiently.
- Ensure all products are handled with extreme care to prevent damage and maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in strict accordance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to meet daily quotas and deadlines.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse management and inventory control.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Must possess a valid forklift certification or be willing to obtain one upon hiring.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and tracking shipments.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends if required.
