Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Verify inventory counts against paperwork and ensure accurate stock placement in designated storage areas.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties in the warehouse and dock areas.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of shipping trucks, ensuring cargo is secure.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (CDL Class A/B not required, but specific forklift license is mandatory).
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating heavy machinery or forklifts is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills for scanning barcodes or logging data.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
