Responsibilities
- Stock Verification: Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies immediately.
- Data Management: Accurately update and maintain inventory databases using ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite) and spreadsheets.
- Receiving & Shipping: Inspect incoming shipments for damages, verify quantities against packing slips, and process outgoing orders with precision.
- Report Generation: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to assist management in stock planning and loss prevention.
- Organization: Maintain the warehouse layout by properly tagging, shelving, and organizing stock to optimize workflow and safety.
- Communication: Liaise with purchasing and sales departments to resolve stock shortages or overstock situations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot data errors and maintain high standards of accuracy under time pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime during peak seasons.
