Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable AI models for autonomous orbital navigation and data processing systems.
- Lead the technical roadmap and architectural decisions for the 2026 mission infrastructure.
- Design and optimize MLOps pipelines for deployment on edge computing environments in space.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with aerospace engineers to seamlessly integrate AI into hardware systems.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance under extreme conditions.
- Mentor and guide a team of junior data scientists and backend engineers.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, quantum computing, and aerospace technology.
Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (PhD preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or systems architecture.
- Expert proficiency in Python, C++, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and real-time processing.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
