Responsibilities
- Freight Management: Safely load, unload, and stage freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Inventory Control: Utilize RF scanners and WMS to accurately count, track, and update inventory levels.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse floor by properly shelving and tagging materials.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and ensure outgoing orders are accurate.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or material handling role is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and experience with handheld scanning devices.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
