Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials to and from loading docks.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Packaging: Properly package items to ensure they are protected during transit, adhering to company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork for shipments and inventory adjustments accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not always required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Certifications: Forklift certification (Class A or B) is a strong plus.
