Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our expanding team in Detroit, MI. This is an urgent hiring opportunity for a reliable individual ready to contribute to our daily supply chain operations.
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. We pride ourselves on safety and productivity and are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented and hardworking.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Package and label products securely for domestic and international shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable.
- Must be available for overtime and flexible shift work.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
