Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse. You will play a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming merchandise accurately using scanners and inventory management systems.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to load, unload, and transport goods to designated storage areas.
- Prepare and package orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, strictly adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in inventory audits and warehouse organization projects as directed by management.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Certification in forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed.
