Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, sort, and store incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain precise inventory levels.
- Material Transport: Safely load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts; move materials to designated storage areas.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring all packaging meets quality standards.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery in compliance with safety regulations.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by following 5S protocols and reporting maintenance issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and paperwork regarding stock movements and daily activities.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret pick tickets or packing lists.
- Certification: Forklift certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
