The Role:
As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly. You will be responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring that our clients receive their orders on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and transport products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming shipments against invoices and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by shelving and sorting materials.
- Documentation: Accurately record inventory counts and update warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies to prevent workplace accidents.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other departments to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
- Certification: Forklift certification is highly preferred but training can be provided.
- Attitude: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
