Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure strapping.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels within the warehouse.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and shipping guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, scanners) and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and wearing required PPE.
- Shipping and Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, checking for damage and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus, but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate a busy warehouse environment.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory counting; familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
