Responsibilities
- Receiving and Storing: Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify quantities against packing slips, and store materials in designated areas.
- Material Movement: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move goods within the facility.
- Picking and Packing: Accurately select items based on picking lists and prepare them for shipping, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times, adhering to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, including shipping logs and daily reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Skills: Basic math skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions (loading docks).
- Equipment: Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
