Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts to move palletized materials throughout 500k sq ft distribution center
- Maintain accurate inventory counts using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company lockout/tagout procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve nightly throughput goals
- Optimize stacking patterns to maximize warehouse space utilization
- Train new hires on material handling best practices
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year warehouse/forklift experience with proven safety record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation and pallet counting
- Proficient with RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Strong communication skills for shift handovers and team coordination
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons
