Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (including Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, and Pallet Jacks) safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organize warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper placement in designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety protocols and company housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to coordinate shipping and receiving schedules and meet daily production targets.
- Document daily activities and any discrepancies in inventory logs using warehouse management systems.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 or equivalent) required; Class 3/4 certification preferred.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory data.
