Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records by tagging and placing stock in designated storage areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts and reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of debris to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: No prior forklift experience required; full training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting and verifying inventory.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for stock checks and inventory counts.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of warehouse staff and management.
